This privacy policy explains what data METĀLA BĀZE SIA receives through metalabaze.lv, why it is needed and how long we keep it. It describes what the site actually does — no boilerplate.

Who processes the data

The quote request form

When you submit the form we receive your name and phone (required), plus company, e-mail, selected items and notes if you provide them. We use this only to prepare an offer and to contact you about that enquiry.

The legal basis is steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Important: requests reach us through Telegram Messenger. That means the data you type into the form is passed to Telegram servers, including servers outside the European Economic Area. If you prefer to avoid this transfer, e-mail or call us instead — the result is the same.

We keep enquiries as long as needed for the conversation and a possible transaction, normally up to 2 years. If a transaction takes place, accounting records are kept for the period required by law.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses no cookies for analytics, advertising or visitor tracking. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The only thing stored in your browser is your request list (a localStorage entry named "mb.quote.v1"). It stays on your device and we cannot see it until you submit the form. Clear it with the "Clear" button or together with your browser data.

Third-party services

The site is served by Cloudflare. Its technical logs process IP addresses and request data, which is necessary to run the site and protect it from attacks.

The contacts page embeds a Google map, and the typeface is loaded from Google Fonts. In both cases your browser contacts Google servers and reveals your IP address to them. If you would rather avoid that, you can skip the contacts page — all the details are in the footer as well.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct inaccuracies, to request erasure or restriction, and to object to processing. Write to metals@metalabaze.lv — we reply within one month.

If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv). We would appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.
